Full Arch Implant

In cases of multiple tooth loss or complete edentulism, full arch dental implants are considered an optimal restoration solution. This method offers the advantage of restoring chewing function almost equivalent to natural teeth, providing a natural aesthetic, and allowing for easy hygiene. Particularly, when implants are placed by a reputable dental clinic, patients can be assured of long-lasting and even permanent results if properly cared for.

    What is Full-Arch Implant Placement?

Full-arch dental implants, known as All-on-X, involve placing 4 to 6 implant posts strategically into the jawbone to create a stable foundation that supports 12 to 14 prosthetic teeth on top. This method is designed to restore the dental arch for patients who have lost multiple teeth, are at risk of losing all their teeth, or have complete tooth loss (commonly seen in middle-aged or elderly individuals).

Currently, there are two popular options for full-arch implant placement: All-On-4 and All-On-6.

After the examination, the dentist will recommend the optimal implant treatment method based on the condition of your oral health.

    Full-Arch Implant Placement Procedure

At Wee Dental, throughout the implant process, there is continuous support and monitoring from the dentist to ensure that the teeth move according to plan, avoiding any unusual deviations that could affect the final results. The full-arch implant procedure at Wee Dental consists of 4 steps as follows:

Step 1: Examination, X-rays, Blood Tests

The dentist examines and performs a CBCT scan to assess the current condition of the jawbone. After that, the patient undergoes blood tests to check coagulation status, blood sugar levels (if diabetic), and other health indicators.

Step 2: Full-Arch Implant Placement and Temporary Teeth Attachment

The dentist places the implant posts. Immediate temporary teeth are quickly fabricated using digital technology and attached right after the surgery, allowing the patient to feel comfortable and confident while awaiting the final restoration.

    Step 3: Follow-Up Appointment

The patient needs to return for follow-up appointments as directed by the dentist to monitor healing progress and address any other oral health issues (if present).

Step 4: Prosthetic Restoration on Implants

After approximately 6 weeks to 6 months, when the implant posts have integrated with the jawbone, the dentist will attach the final prosthetic teeth to complete the implant procedure. This phase typically involves 3 to 5 appointments over a period of 5 to 14 days, depending on the individual dental condition.

*In cases of significant bone resorption, an additional bone grafting step will be included before implant placement.
